On 18 January, a large-scale vaccination vaccination is commenced in the parish of Rezekne municipality

From 18 to 22 January, extensive emergency vaccination will take place in the municipality of Rezekne. The vaccination is specifically called upon by people who received the first and second pots against Covid-19 in spring and early summer, as the immune protection against the virus caused by the primary vaccination is reduced or, in other words, the body has time forgotten to produce antibodies, so we must be able to wake the immunity cells with a support vaccine. By strengthening immunity with a supportive vaccine, you can improve your protection against the virus, prevent serious illness, hospitalisation and death.
Vaccination will be carried out with the vaccines “Pfizer” and “modern”.
It will also be possible for visitors to receive a free vaccine against influenza during the trip vaccination.
The vaccination process will be carried out in both the “live queue” order and the previous record. To reduce waiting time, you are prompted to login in time by calling the specified phones. A numbering system will be established during the trip vaccination and the population of the population will be organised.
A personal identification document (passport or ID card) and a grafting passport (if any) shall be taken to the vaccination. It is preferable to arrive at a clothing that allows easy release of the shoulder.
WHAT TO KNOW ABOUT MAINTENANCE VACCINATION
Supportive vaccination is one of the most effective solutions in the fight against high incidence of Covod-19, reducing transmission in the short term and potentially in the long term. Currently, vaccination against Covid-19 is available to a broad range of society.
The aim of the support vaccine is to strengthen human immune protection, including the latest variants of Covid-19 virus. Maintenance vaccination protects from severe disease and death, but does not fully provide the possibility of infection with the virus at all. The higher the population will have been vaccinated, the more likely the disease is likely to spread to society. Supportive vaccination is able to increase the human immune response at once, the protective effect after vaccination is on the next day.
The supportive vaccination is invited to be given at once without delay. In particular, it is recommended that the persons in risk groups, persons from 40 years of age and persons who have received first-time vaccination at the beginning of the summer or early summer be avoided.
The maintenance vaccine is particularly necessary for people with impaired immunity
In immunosuppressants or people with impaired immunity, the administration of a vaccine is particularly recommended, including after two doses and suffering. These are persons with HIV, oncological diseases, organ or stem cell transplantations, long-term dialysis as well as individual drug users. For this population of society, the Council of State of immunisation has established primary vaccination with three doses, namely 21-28 days after the first vaccine was required to receive a second vaccine and a further 28 days after a third dose. Accordingly, the maintenance vaccine or fourth dose in these humans is recommended six months after receiving a third dose.
Maintenance vaccination could be protected from severe Covid-19 virus Omicron variant disease
Following the information on the new Covid-19 virus Omicron variant, different opinions and versions have emerged on how this virus variant will spread and whether the supportive vaccination will be able to protect it sufficiently effectively. Specialists currently think that a supporting vaccine can be protected from severe disease and in intensive treatment if the person is infected with Omicron. However, the maintenance vaccine does not fully provide the possibility of non-infection with the virus at all.
Experts confirm that although there are many unanswered questions in relation to the new Omicron variant, receiving a supportive vaccine with existing vaccines at any age increases the human immune system.
Time of administration of the maintenance vaccine depends on the vaccines received in primary vaccination
For those who have been vaccinated with Johnson & Johnson “Janssen”, after the support vaccine, eight weeks after the vaccine received. In contrast, if the recipient of the “Janssen” vaccine has also been infected with Covid-19, the additional dose should be given six months after the disease.
If both potes were vaccines “Vaxzevria” (“AstraZeneca”), “Spikevax” (“modern”) or “Comirnaty” (Pfizer-BioNTech) in primary vaccination, the suspension vaccine may be received three months after receiving the second vaccine.
Type of support vaccine dependent on vaccines already received
If, in the first-time vaccination, both were “modern” produced “Spikevax”, the supporting vaccine will be “Spikevax” or “Comirnaty” (“Pfizer-BioNTech”); if both doses of the initial vaccine were “Comirnaty”, the maintenance vaccine will be “Comirnaty” or “Spikevax”.
If one of the virus vector vaccines, namely “Vaxzevria” or “Johhson & Johnson” produced by Astra Zeneca or “Johhson & Johnson”, was received in the first vaccination, any of the messenger or mRNA vaccines (“Spikevax” or “Comirnaty”) are used in the vaccination vaccination. Such a combination of vaccines provides higher protection against Covid-19.
So if the first two pots were “Vaxzevria”, the support vaccine will be “Spikevax”, “Comirnaty” or “Vaxzevria”. Meanwhile, “Janssen” is reinforced with “Spikevax” or “Comirnaty”.
In cases where the primary vaccination “Vaxzevria” was the first dose and the second dose “Comirnaty” or “Spikevax”, the maintenance vaccine will be “Spikevax” or “Comirnaty”.
The “mixing” of vaccines is not a novelty, such an approach has been used earlier, and the European Medicines Agency, in examining national experiences, confirms that such a method is permitted if necessary. At the same time, if, for example, the person initially received two doses of “Comirnaty” (“Pfizer-BioNTech”), depending on availability, the same type will also be used for the support vaccine.
Two certificates will be valid after receiving the support vaccine
The digital certificate received after the completion of the primary vaccination course will continue to operate. A check mark will appear on the certificate when vaccination is carried out and the name of the vaccine. In turn, after receiving the support vaccine, a supporting vaccination certificate will also be operational and both documents will be valid for use.
Conditions for obtaining the support vaccine:
Persons receiving Janssen vaccines - two months after 1 st pote;
Persons receiving a vaxzevria (AstraZeneca) vaccine - three months after 2 nd vaccine;
Comirnaty (Pfizer-BioNTech) or Spikevax (modern) vaccines - three months after 2 nd vaccine;
Covid-19 survived persons and vaccinated with one pote - three months after the grafting or disease (whichever is the last);
persons with reduced immunity and vaccinated with three pots - six months after 3 rd pote;
not performed for young people aged 12-17.
In covid-19 survivors who have been vaccinated with two pots, the support vaccine may be received six months after vaccination or disease (whichever is the last) after vaccination with a medical practitioner.
