We are invited to participate in the “needy silk quotes” campaign

For more than a month - until 17 December - the creative promotion for “needy feet” continues. In the course of a stock, anyone who is not strangers is invited to admit one or more pairs of stockings that will be given to medical practitioners and nurses for Christmas.

“Volunteering Cities +” (“volunteering cities”) is provided for yarn knitting. Admitters can receive it IN a Viļānu book store in the “Esme” (Freedom Street 5) and also return the admittedly until 17 December. The initiatives of the initiative are Viļānu active inhabitants, but it is also invited to participate in the promotion with the adventurers of the surrounding parish and the municipality who wish to admit their affection and good wishes in warm socks.

At the beginning of November, by giving the Green light to the knitting stock, Zoom gathered Viļānu on the online. During a remote meeting AT Viļānu High School teacher, the handman Wilhelmine Azra told about the origins of socks in the world and Latvia, the types of stockings as well as the stockings of stockings. The creative workshop for “needy feet” takes place within the framework of the European Union “URBACT” project “Volunteering Cities +” (volunteering city). The aim of the project is to create a group of active people in Vilnius who, involving co-workers, implement various volunteering activities IN THE Viļānu association, as well as promote co-operation between the local government and the population.
