My Best idea

From 2015 until May 2018, the Ministry of Education of Rezekne implemented THE ERASMUS + K2 project “My Best idea”. The project took place in partnership with the municipality of Pitea in Sweden and with the municipality of Laives in Italy. Project activities took place in three directions: entrepreneurship, interdisciplinary training and digital Portfolio. The co-operation partner of the Rēzekne municipality in the realization of project activities was Sakstagala Jānis Kaida pamatskola School and the Optional School of Added Children (ABF) in Riga, who not only educated colleagues but also shared their experience with foreign partners.
In the municipality of Rezekne, thanks to the realization of the project, the dissemination of the ideas gained in the project was continuously carried out over three years, and the recruitment and revitalisation of the project: the teachers' professional development courses and educational summer school teachers, led by both the teachers of the pedagogy Karine Oganisjana and the teachers of the Optional School of the Added Children, Marika Melne, Cynthia Blūmentāle and Arija Melne. Another not least important measure for the development of ideas was the interdisciplinary learning ideas competition that took place every year. A competition aimed at motivating educational institutions to introduce cross-disciplinary learning as a thin and integral approach to the learning process is only invited to participate in the 2-4 teachers of each school team. The incapacitable leaders each year were Sakstagala Jānis Kco's primary school teachers, who merely attested the motivation of the project to operate actively.
In collecting knowledge, experience and gains, it was recognised that during the project:
• There was a successful collaboration with Sakstagala Jānis Kaida's primary school team, who is working on both interdisciplinary teaching and the development of pupils' entrepreneurial capacities. During the implementation of the project, there was an increasing number of creative ideas and more understanding of the work to be done.
• The realization of the various ideas gained in the project resulted in the most complete expression of pupils' self-sufficiency, creativity, the preparation of pupils for living. The motivation of pupils' learning increased.
the educational administration developed optimal collaboration with project leaders and participants of all partner countries, as well as among project partners at Latvian level.
• teachers and students also had a very good chance of developing their knowledge, foreign language skills.
• In the course of multilateral and interesting visits, new ideas have been obtained in both Sweden and Italy for the implementation of the content of study subjects and the organisation of interdisciplinary activities.
• has taken the initiative to promote and implement good practices on the spot, in their school and in the municipality.
• teachers had the opportunity to visit abroad and had an internal motivation to learn English.
experience in planning and organising international events.
Although the implementation of THE ERASMUS K2 project is a challenge, both teachers and pupils and the educational administration have benefited, because they were motivated to dare, share experiences, implement new ideas in life when they were involved in planning and implementing project activities.
