Picklist drawing and Latgale story book about Latgale
At the end of the snowball AT Lūznavas, the opening festival of Vincent Fliciger and Editte Husares's short story “Trusini inspired pi boy”. The book summarises the inspired drawings of the Swiss artist Latgale and the story of Latgale, asking the question that the region is the one that attracts the attention of the other people, but the local people have to wonder what will remain for the next time. The stories read in the book are published in three languages: Latin with English translation and German.
The author is a Swiss artist and musician Vincent Flückiger. He, thanks to his spouse, Latvian chellister Ilzei Grudulei, has been living in Latvia, Latgale, and Latvian language for many years. While working in the world artists' network “Urban Sketchers”, Vincent regularly fixes the environment around himself – a series of drawings in 2015, “Latgale time rite”, which mainly includes the Stirniene area. To supplement the drawings with some text format, Vincent spoke to Latvian cultural activists, the leader of the portal lakuga.lv Editti Husari, who, inspired by the artist's works, created 20 short stories about Latgale today.
Both editors and their relatives, friends, colleagues, and other stakeholders were present at THE opening OF the book IN Lūznavas. There was an opportunity to hear the stories of the “scenes” about what inspired the drawing of the drawings and how they were then told, in which there was a little autobiographical event from the lives of the two author of the book, the various experiences of Latgale, and also fictitious situations. The main idea of the story published in the publication is to create a sort of postcard about Latgale, in which, with a smile, a reflection, or a simple fixation, the facts of cultural history or ordinary life, which are everyday in modern Latgale, can be found in modern Latgale, but in several cases they may also disappear, such as the May singing at the crossings, the milk tables in the roadside, and others. The Tillan chapel, which combines Vincent, his spouse Ilze, and other members and friends of the Grudou family.
The editor of the edition is Latgalian literature Ilze Sperga, but the artist Dina straw. The stories in English and German have been translated by translators of the “Latvian Literature” platform, both of which do not have the first work with Latvian writers – the English translation was produced by Jade Will (Jayde will), but the German-language rage Naua (Nicole nau).
The new edition, which has been prepared by the Latvian cultural movement “Vioda” (association “LgSC”), can be purchased in the donation platform-store of the Movement “Videda” voluda.lv, online store taiseitslatgola.lv“Jānis Roze” in bookshops and online shops, Lūznavas manor, as well as soon elsewhere in Latgale.
