Kaunatas pupils visit AHHAA centre in Estonia

On 18 April, 38 Kaunatas secondary school students had a great opportunity to visit THE AHHAA centre in Estonia. The trip was financed under the European Social Fund project Nr .8 .3 .32 .2/16/I/001 “Support for the development of individual competences”. The trip was offered to students with 7 and higher marks. It is, of course, a very good school motivation for pupils in the future.
The Science Centre AHHAA is located at the city centre of Tartu in Estonia. Students had the opportunity to visit the technology hall. The exhibits in this Chamber reveal the technological advances that are being used on a daily basis. A three-way system that helps to lift heavy objects. The tours were also tested by the participants.
The most interesting exponent for pupils was Hoberman's bullet, as well as being able to ride a bicycle across the hall. The sight of the top and the valley was fantastic! The anatomy collection was very impressive.
In the natural hall, the pupils surveyed biology, geography and physics, even being able to observe the hatching of the chickens, as well as the lives of ants in the cross-section.
We also visited the science theatre where the performance “fire chemistry” was offered. Class 6a School Alice Frolova assisted the centre staff in one experiment. The three hours spent in the centre seemed unlikely.
Finally, everyone was happy to visit the science shop. Logical thinking-enhancing table games were available here. There are other devices and toys that we bought around the store.
Thank you for the opportunity offered!
