Interactive exhibition “Kerbedzs: following engineering ideas” at Luznava Manor

This publication is prepared with financial support from the Latvian-Russian cross-border cooperation programme 2014-2020. Its content is fully responsible by the municipality of Rezekne and may not reflect the views of the programme, the Member States of Latvia and Russia, as well as the European Union.

Did you know? The Rēzekne municipality is a centre of engineering ideas created IN Lūznavas manor, where it is possible to gain insight into the construction of bridges, to try to build bridges himself, to find out what awards were given for successfully completed bridges projects 150 years ago!

The Inspiration of the Centre for Engineering Themes and the interactive exhibition “Kerbedzs: following engineering ideas” is a 19.gs engineer, Staņislavs Kerbedzs, closely associated with Lūznavas manor and has carried out many civil engineering projects in Europe.

The exhibition was celebrated on December 4, with the participation of both the designer of the exhibition for the architect Didzim Jaunzemam and the exhibitors SIA “SOLAVI”. It is important that Didzis Jaunlow, with his team, simultaneously implemented two projects: “at the same time as the Kerbedza exhibition, we also created Latvian stands for the world's most ambitious cultural and business show EXPO 2020 in Dubai. We must say that both of these projects were equally important for us, so i am pleased with this result. 'An interesting fact - every artist tries to leave his autograph, and in this exhibition it is the architect Didge Jaunlow dare to filming in one of the interactive exhibition video materials, reflecting one of Stanislava Kerbedza's students.

The opening of the exhibition was attended by a member OF the Rēzekne District Council, Chairman OF the Standing Committee on Education, Culture and Sport, Guntis Rasims, who was pleased that the municipality of Rezekne became even more attractive: “Lūznavas Manor is the great magnet of Rezekne's municipality, which attracts entrepreneurs, and this exhibition makes it even more attractive for creative thinking.”

The Manor manager Iveta Balzer said that THE Lūznavas manor is known with new approaches: “we are innovators, as Kerbedzs had ever been, this exhibition brings TOGETHER STEM field, technology, business and design. We call on teachers and pupils to experience a combination of historical heritage and engineering sciences available at this exhibition!

The project's Russian partners also participated in the event. Olga Pavlova, representative of the District Administration of Pļussa, expressed satisfaction that despite the epidemiological situation in the world, all the works were done: “we are very pleased to work with Latvian partners, it was a great experience, and we will now be pleased to present the Latvian and Russian people with an industrial heritage exhibition that leads up to St Petersburg from Lūznavas.”

The opening of the exhibition was the music of the composer Platon Buravicka.
