Informal training AT Maltas in children and young people
In the Rēzekne municipality, Maltas of children and youth centres took place in the informal training cycle for young people “choice of career - MY choice”. From 30 June to 4 July, 15 young people from Maltas, Ozolmuižas and Silmalas parish had an opportunity to spend time with both learning and resting. The aim of the project was to familiarise young people with the diversity of schools and professions to be learned. During the week, young people went into informative excursions for more than ten educational institutions and local businesses. Some participants in the project were encouraged to take a step in their new life by participating in one of the educational institutions visited. On the other hand, the time spent on holidays was fun, playing various games and picking in nature!
The views of young people on the project:
• Very diverse excursions. Each school was interested in his individuality.
• lotte useful information in both the acquisition of a new profession and the improvement of the knowledge of an existing profession.
• The visitor made extensive presentation of the labour market, taught her TO write a RESUME and other documents needed to work.
the project not only introduced us to diversity in the labour market, but also gave the opportunity to find new friends.
It was possible to realise the training cycle thanks to the funding obtained from the competition for youth camps and non-formal training projects launched by the municipality of Rezekne. The participants were very satisfied with the time spent in training and the information obtained, so they expressed their willingness to participate in such events.
