The methodological manual for the staff of mobile brigades is designed to improve the basic needs of older people and improve their quality of life by bringing the care service closer to their place of residence through the services of mobile brigade specialists, and (2) providing information and methodological support to professionals (social carers) and the co-workers of care people – family members, friends or neighbours - about social rehabilitation and self-care opportunities for people who need care. Thus, this manual is intended for the care of both mobile brigades at home and local government social service staff to improve local government social care services for older people, as well as every member of the community, in order to develop self-help skills and to involve family members, friends, neighbours or volunteers in the seniors in order to ensure comfortable ageing for older people.
Manual for the staff of the Interreg V-A Latvia – Lithuanian cross-border cooperation programme 2014-2020 – “Aging in Comfort” (No. LLI-341). The aim of this project is to improve the quality of social services for elderly people at home to be provided by mobile brigades - professional carers' teams, offering the necessary care at home, including through medical assistance.
The manual shall compile and document the experience gained during the implementation of the project and the information provided in the project training, which is necessary for mobile team workers to provide quality care at home for older people, as well as to serve as a methodological assistive in complex situations at work with a client or to protect themselves from burn syndrome.
