Social service conference will be held in Rezekne municipality

On Friday, October 23, a conference dedicated to the development of social services and the development of Orphan's courts will be held in the municipality of Rezekne. As said by Silvija Strankale, head of the social service of the municipality of Rezekne, the subject has been selected on the basis of recent cases of problems in families with children in the media. “Šķetinot these issues, it is concluded that there is a lack of cooperation between the Orphan's and Social Services.”

The first part of the conference on good practice will be told by the head of the Riga City Social Service Ervin Alksnis and the President of the Riga Orphan's Court, Aivars Krasnogolov, board member of the Latvian Association of Orphan's Courts. In the second half of the conference, with participants split into groups, it is planned to discuss different real cases and joint efforts to search for the best solutions to family problems.

More than 70 employees of the Orphan's and Social Services from 30 municipalities have already been approved in the seminar.
