Results of the Rēzekne municipality's general physical preparedness (VFS) competitions

2020./2021. the school year for all pupils and also sports school students was a time of major change and motivation. Training exercises for almost the entire school year could not take place in sports hall - Covid-19 containment rules, allowed training to take place only in outdoor sports areas and stadiums or remotely. The Rēzekne municipality's sports school trainers, mainly, worked to raise the physical preparedness of their students, which in any sport is basic skills to be developed at all stages of training training.

As a result of the survey carried out by the coach, children and young people were very lacking at this time, so the Rēzekne municipality's school children-youth sports school decided to organise the General Physical Preparedness Competition for students of sports school.

The competition was held in 6 age groups for boys and girls between 1 March and 14 May. Sports school trainers recorded results in the following disciplines for their students:

  • Repression
  • Jump jump
  • Abdominal press
  • Out-of-place
  • 30 m running
  • 500 m running (6 –11 years)/1000 m running (12-17 years). 

The following age group scored the results - the winner became the one who won the lowest score in the total of all VFS exercises. 

The total number of competitions took place in Kaunas, Malta, Feimani, Dricans, Gaigalava, sports school training group 208 students. The biggest competition expanded between the ages of 2009-2008 (12-13 years) for boys and girls: 36 young athletes and 24 new athletes were competing among themselves. 

The Rēzekne municipality, a youth sports school with cups and medals, awards the three best athletes of each age group in the sum of all six disciplines and became the prize winners:
