Seminar on the submission of EU Citizens' (2014-2020) applications in 2015

A free seminar in Rezekne will take place this year:
3 December from at 11:00 – 14:00, Rēzekne, Hotel Latgale, release alley 98, conference hall “Razna”;

Target audience: Representatives of local governments, as well as associations and foundations, who want to receive funding for international co-operation, as well as local projects IN the new period of operation of THE EU programme “Europe for Citizens” from 2015.
Seminars will provide information on the “Europe for Citizens” programme of the new working period (2014-2020), its support opportunities for local governments, civil society organisations, the application form filling method. A representative from local government or non-governmental organisations will be present at the seminar and with experience of participation in such projects.
Please consider your opportunity to participate in the seminar or provide such an opportunity to stakeholders who might be up to date.
The time limit for applying for seminars shall be 2 working days before the date of the event.
THE EU's Europe for Citizens Programme (2014-2020) aims to bring Europe closer to its citizens, strengthen the memory and increase public participation in THE EU through a more open debate at local, regional and national level on EU issues. The programme will contribute to increasing the capacity of civil society organisations to involve their members and wider society IN THE EU's democratic life.
The general objectives of the programme are:

  • promote debate, reflection and cooperation on historical memory, EU integration and history;
  • promote citizens' awareness and opportunities to participate IN EU policy-making processes and promote solidarity, civic engagement and volunteering at EU level.

Specific objectives of the programme:

  • promoting discussions, exchanges of experience and networking, raising awareness of the preservation, shared history and values of European history and the EU's objective of promoting peace, strengthening its values and the well-being of its citizens;
  • promote the democratic and civic participation of citizens AT EU level by raising citizens' awareness of EU policy-making processes and promoting public engagement, intercultural activities and volunteering at EU level.
