At the time of talks, the area where the water tourism development centre will be located

Despite the natural disasters that sent the rain gas and wind, the talkers in Luban's cleaning talent worked hard and with a smile. A lot was made – from the old manta and the debris, the inner rooms of the former pump station were cleaned, the bushes were cut and the waste collected from the roadside. “The rain must have encouraged everyone to work faster, so we did even more than expected,” said Ineta Brina, the leader of the project “Sustainable tourism development in the vicinity of Kupišku lagoon and Luban Lake.” The talks on 22 May took place within the framework of this project.

Since it is a project of the Latvian-Lithuanian cross-border cooperation programme, Kupišku District Administration staff from Lithuania also participated in the talks. A similar talc around Kupišku lagoon will also be held in Lithuania this year.

After the end of the procurement procedure, the implementation of the activities planned in the project – reconstruction of the former pump station on the centre for the development of water tourism development and the construction work of the territory will be initiated after the end of the procurement procedure.
