Tiskad pupils visit Jaundomes Manor

On September 30, 2020, students of the project “Support for the Development of Individual Competencies of Students” (project No. 8.3.2.2/16/I/001) took up a study visit to Jaundomes Manor (Aundomes Environmental Education Centre), located in the territory of Razna National Park, Ezernieku parish Jaundomé. The study visit gave students the opportunity to meet one of the largest collections of freshwater fish mullets in Latvia, see bird socks and other exhibits. The pupils, with great interest, followed the narrative of the gides League, answered questions, talked about their observations. In the exhibition hall, the pupils learned much new and strengthened the familiar.

Thanks to the warm and sunny time, the continuation of the study visit proved to be very interesting and memorable. All the pupils were offered a delicious fish soup, which was cooked on a fire, and no one could give up. Then they all took part in the crusan baking. How delicious was the cockroasted creusan with a jam and a herbal tea!

Next, everyone was waiting for the Nature Trail of Jaundomes Manor, which allowed them to become acquainted with the cultural historical objects of the estate and the diversity of nature. As they walked along the path, the pupils had the opportunity to look at the bebra living environment in the woods and to get to the island's richest lake in the Baltics - Azzer.

During the course of the study, students could study, observe, operate. All the lessons were interesting and exciting. The pupils got new knowledge and were very happy that they knew so much in a day.

The impressions and observations of the pupils can be used in the learning process, learning topics IN THE STEM and environmental fields.
