Working time: Monday-Thursday from 8:00-16:00, Fridays from 8:00-18:30, Saturdays, Sundays - closed. On weekends and outside working hours by prior appointment.

The museum was founded in 1991 as a municipal unit of Maltas parish. As a result of administrative territorial reform, the parish of Maltas is included in the municipality of Rēzekne and since 2010 the museum operates as an administrative unit of Maltas. Since 2004, the museum has been located in the fifties of the 20 th century in a building built for kindergartens with an area of 0.2 ha. It is not necessary to go to the Mediterranean to see a rich cultural heritage in the island of Maltas. The Historical Museum of Maltas offers a unique cultural heritage in Rēzekne municipality - the material and intangible values created by the previous generations and the time of the time, creating appropriate collections, exhibitions and educational events. The museum can see the basic exhibition “Malta in the intersection of roads and events in the history photomiries”, two open-stock exhibitions “paintings and ceramics” and “Maltas parish objects” - 20.gs. 30-60-year-old room arrangement. the main exhibition of “Malta in the intersection of roads and events in the history photomiries” is created as a focused view through a photolensional prize on topics characterising the history of Maltas.

We invite you to visit a printmaking workshop at the Malta History Museum

Every visitor to the graphics workshop has the opportunity to step into the role of an artist - graphic artist and create a unique souvenir using the linocut technique on paper with accents characterizing the history of Malta.

Graphic artist Jana Indričāne offers classes for groups of students and adults, as well as individual museum visitors.

Lesson duration 1–1.5 hours.
