We call on the vivids to engage in a “volunteering project”
As a continuation of the activities of the European Union “URBACT” project “Volunteering Cities +” (volunteering city), the meetings of the project participants will be held at the Zoom Platform on 9 and 10 March. We are invited to join the vicinians, as well as the people of the surrounding parish and engage in volunteering activities! On 9 March, at 16.00, the meeting will begin with information on past project developments, planning of future events and discussions with participants. Then, Irina Klimanova, head of the creative research centre of the natural friends “Thistle”, will tell you about the candlelight and will be invited to go to the “Thistle” centre at a later time to get out your candle. All necessary materials will be provided by the organisers of the event. It should be recalled that the candlelight was planned already in February, but was transferred because of the epidemiological situation, while there will be an individual or one household circle.
Also on March 10, at 16.00, at the beginning of the remote meeting there will be discussions with participants on future activities, as well as more information on the progress of the project. After that, there will be an opportunity to listen to the “clothes-second life” presentation, where Margaret Cakula, head of THE Viļānu cultural house, will tell you about the fabrication of fabric shopping bags. He would later be able to make his cloth bag by being the leader of the cultural house. Also in this activity, all necessary materials will be provided by the organisers of the event.
