Ministry of Defence will carry out the communication of the population OF the population during the course of the training

7 and 8 September, during the period from 8.00 to 20.00, the Ministry of Defence, in co-operation with mobile communications operators and the State Fire-fighting and Rescue Service, will perform THE sms notification of Latvian residents during training.

Within two days, a text message will be sent to all end-users of mobile service providers “LMT”, “BITE” and “Tele2” within the framework of the Ministry of Defence's training “AMEX 2022”. The purpose of the exercise is to verify the communication of Latvian residents in crisis situations.

It has been reported that the autumn phase of the military training cycle “Namejs 2022” will be held in Latvia from September 5 to October 9, in order to verify and improve the willingness of units to expand to the fulfilment of national defence tasks, both independently and within the framework of the collective defence system. In the framework of military training, the annual Defence Ministry training “AMEX 2022” will be held on 7 and 8 September to verify the readiness of state institutions for military and hybrid crises.
