Education

When nature wakes up and reaches the spring, THE 1 TP34T primary school students at the early morning of 24 April went on an educational and knowledgeable trip. A career development support pasākums organised within the framework of Project No. 8.3.5.0/16/I/001 “career support in general and vocational education institutions” “opens the profession door!” took THE children of the primary school of Audriņu to SIA “Skraver sweets”.
The morning fatigue disappeared as he entered the room and sensed the aroma of the sweet caramel. The students listened carefully to the narrative of the technologist, both on the history of the company's development and on the specific work environment, about the company's employees' mastery, which in one year, using only hand-to-hand work, wrapped up to 1.5 million confectionery “gossip”. At the end of the narrative, “sweet gide” (the following designation was given by children), a small competition was organised, asking questions about the previously heard. There was, of course, prizes, only the production of “Skraver sweets”.
In the culmination of the lesson, the self-expelling of the mass of the “honey” candy. Three types of additives were offered: roasted nuts, raisins and sunflower seeds, whose children could then be added to the candy mass. No matter how simple it seemed to be the wrapping of sweets that had been seen in the video, the children had even shuddered their hands every time, because they were making their own candies, which they planned to give to their homes.
After a sweetness paradise in Scrveros Audriņu, the primary school bus went to Keguma, so that students could visit the exposition of Keguma HES and the energy museum.
The large amount of water and its strength in Keguma HES buildings created special emotions. Keguma HES is a statically important object which is carefully guarded, so that no unnecessary photography was allowed. The new discovery in the knowledge of learners was how huge the equipment is and how much power they are being used to enable people to live in comfort and to use electrical equipment in their household. A very interesting visit to the museum exhibition, children with interest listened to the museum's guide on the construction of Keguma HES and the development of Latvian electrification. In the museum, students could look at various electrical goods from “past”.
In summary, i would like to say that such opportunities do not only open the door of the profession but extend the vision as a whole.
