The municipality of Rezekne expressed gratitude to the families of Koļesnik and Žurbenko from Ukraine

On 24 May, THE Vice-President OF the Council of Rēzekne, Ērika Teirumnieka, expressed gratitude to the families of Koļesnik and Žurbenko from Ukraine, who are now accustomed to the Rēzekne municipality.  

Thanks to the children's collective leaders Boris Koļesnik, Oxanai Koļesnik, Andrejs Žurbenko and Anastasia Žurbenko, who contributed much to the preparation of children not only for local government, but also for national events. Rēzekne's municipality also talks to Irina Hodakovskaya about the enthusiasm and talent, representing Ukraine and its values.

During the meeting, the Chairperson OF the Rēzekne District Council, Ērika Teirumnieka, Vice-President of the Head of Culture and Tourism, Agnese Lukjanova, Koļesnik and Žurbenko family representatives discussed further cooperation and the participation of children in local municipality events.

It should be noted that the European Day was widely celebrated in Latvia on 9 May. This year, the festival was also celebrated in the European Union's house in Riga, where the children of Ukrainian people who currently live in Rezekne municipality with songs and dances.
