Project objective:

The project aims at creating new cross-border craft products and services that use local resources and attracting visitors to Latgale-Pleskava region could be advertised as common tourism products. Project activities focus on craftsmen as local cultural and traditions and developers in craftsmen such as metalworking, textiles including weaving and sewing, wood processing and ceramics and glass. The project will improve the necessary infrastructure and theoretical base for the creation of new creative products and services in 15 places in the border of Latvia and Russia, which will be advertised to attract the interest of potential visitors.

27 months (01.06.2019 –31.08 .2021)

Financing:

Total project funding: EUR 799 740,50. The co-financing of the project from Latvia-Russia cross-border cooperation programme 2014-2020 is 719 766.45 EURO.

Project Partners:

Daugavpils City Council, the municipality of Rezekne, the municipality of Rēzekne, the municipality of Dagda municipality, the municipality of Daugavpils municipality, the municipality of Pleskava district Porhova district and the Pleskava district business development and guarantee fund.

Main project activities:

P1 project management and coordination

The activity will provide project management and implementation, partner collaboration, project documents and reporting and storage.

Publicity and visibility OF THE AP2 project

Within the framework of the activity, a common Internet platform for promotion of craft products will be established, video stories, participation in tourism exhibitions, prepared marketing materials and a final conference of the project.

AP3 development of new craft products

Within the framework of the activity, amateurs are so organized to increase their creative entrepreneurial skills, thematic working groups are organised to promote the creation of new craft products and organise cross-border activities for craftsmen to present their products.

Modernisation OF AP4 craft equipment

In the framework of the Aviv, the acquisition and modernisation of the necessary equipment will be ensured in 8 municipalities of Latgale region - the municipality of Riebinu municipality, the municipality of Kraslava, the municipality of Ilūkstes, the municipality of Aglona, the municipality of the municipality of Aglona, the municipality of Preiles, the municipality of Livana and the municipality of Ciblas, as well as 2 Russian municipalities - in Porhova and Pleskava.

AP5 Improving cultural and historical objects to promote tourism

As part of the activity, infrastructure improvement works will be performed in 6 municipalities - Daugavpils City, Rēzekne municipality in Luznava, Balvi, Dagda municipality in Andrupene, Daugavpils municipality in Berkenele and Porhova (Russia).
