The development of the joint development planning documents of the Rēzekne State and Rēzekne District is launched on the basis of the transitional provisions of the Administrative Territories and Territories Law, which stipulate that the municipality of Rezekne, with local governments, which will be part of the newly formed Rēzekne municipality, that is, the Rēzekne municipality, the Vilnius municipality and the Varakalans District, should develop a sustainable development strategy and a development programme in cooperation.
