In 2018, a natural friend creative research centre “Thistle” was established in THE Viļānu forestry building. The premises of the Centre of Interest shall be used for the performance of study and laboratory research work through the latest technologies, as well as for the organisation of training, seminars and other events. The surrounding area of the building contains land and forests that provide an opportunity to explore and explore natural values through various instruments - microscopes, compasses, binoculars and lupes.
